Short Term Unemployment (SU) Long Term Unemployment (LU)
Unemployment Period Less than 6 months 6 months or more
Funding Amount 70% of employee’s remuneration for 3 months 70% of employee’s remuneration for 4 months
  • Claimable: Basic & Fixed allowances, CPF allowable allowances
  • Non-Claimable: Variable allowances, Absentee Payroll
Funding Cap Up to $2000 per month per employee
  • Overall cap per eligible employee at $5000 per programme.
Up to $2000 per month per employee
  • Overall cap per eligible employee at $8000 per programme.
Retention Period 3 months after completion of training 4 months after completion of training
On-Job-Training 40 hours within 3 months of employment (can commence on first day of work) 50 hours within 4 months of employment (can commence on first day of work)
Compulsory External Training Skillsfuture for Digital Workplace (SFDW) & any WSQ program from ELITC
 

Funding criteria

  • Candidates must be Singapore Citizens / Singapore Permanent Residents.
  • Minimum Age Requirement: 18 years old.
  • Employment Tenure: Full-time / Permanent Part-time / Contract of minimum 1 year
  • Basic salary: From $1200 to $2500 per month.
Funding details
  • Up to 5 vacancies per application per month.
  • Please refer to FAQs.
  • Application period: 1 January 2020 to 31 May 2020. Approval time will take from 2 weeks to 1 month.
Application process
  • Applications to be submitted to ELITC for processing. No hiring should be done before approval.
  • Claims on reimbursement basis.
